1. About these terms
These terms apply to every sale and purchase by BeMelJu Farms (Abokobi, Greater Accra, Ghana). By asking for a quote, placing an order, paying or selling produce to us, you accept them. Questions: info@bemeljufarms.com or +233 59 226 8843.
2. Quotations and prices
- Our prices are given by quotation, depending on season, quantity and delivery place.
- A quotation is valid for 3 days for fresh produce (tomatoes, leafy vegetables, fruit) and 7 days for dry or stable crops (maize, coconuts, yam, rice), unless the quotation says otherwise.
- Prices are in Ghana cedis (GH₵). Delivery charges are shown on the quotation.
3. Orders
- An order is confirmed when you accept our quotation (in writing, on WhatsApp, by phone or by paying online) and we confirm it.
- For large or special orders we may ask for a 30–50% deposit before we buy or harvest.
- If a product becomes unavailable, we tell you and offer an alternative, a later delivery or a refund of that part.
4. Payment
- You can pay by Mobile Money (MTN, Telecel, AirtelTigo), bank card, bank transfer or cash.
- Online payments are processed securely by Paystack. Our staff will never ask for your PIN or card number.
- Unless agreed otherwise, payment is due on confirmation or on delivery. Regular business customers may, at our discretion, pay on delivery or within 7 days.
5. Delivery
- We call you before delivering and send you a tracking link.
- You, or someone you name, must be there to receive and check the delivery. We record the receiver's name and a photo.
- If a delivery fails because nobody is there, the first re-delivery is free; later ones may be charged.
- The produce is your responsibility once received. Keep fresh produce cool and out of the sun.
6. Quality, complaints and refunds
- Please check your order on delivery. Short weight or count reported at delivery is corrected in full.
- Quality problems must be reported at delivery or within 24 hours, with a photo, while the produce is still available to inspect.
- If the complaint is justified, we replace the affected part on the next delivery, give you credit on your next order, or refund you – your choice.
- We cannot accept complaints about produce spoiled by storage after delivery, or about the natural variation in size, colour or ripeness of fresh produce.
7. Cancellations
- You can cancel free of charge until we have bought or harvested for your order.
- After that, you pay only what has already been spent: produce we cannot resell and any transport costs. The rest of your deposit is refunded.
- If we cancel or cannot supply, you get a full refund.
8. Refund timing
Refunds are made by the same payment method within 7 working days of being agreed.
9. Farmers and suppliers
- An offer sent with the Sell to Us form is not an agreement to buy. A purchase is confirmed when we agree the price and create the purchase order.
- We inspect quality and quantity on collection. If the produce does not match what was agreed, we may refuse it or agree a new price.
- Payment is made on the terms agreed for each purchase.
10. Liability
We do our best to deliver on time and in good condition. Our liability for any order is limited to the value of that order. We are not responsible for delays caused by events outside our control (weather, roads, shortages, strikes…).
11. Goodwill
These rules are a minimum: we may always, at our discretion, do more for loyal customers and partners.
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Ghana. If we disagree, we will first try to settle it together. We may update these terms; the version that applies is the one on this website when you place your order.
